Corrosive To Metals, Category 1 Skin Corrosion/Irritation, Category 1B Serious Eye Damage/Eye Irritation, Category 1 kleen. Acetone should only be fingernail polish remover. Careful of the things you use indoors
"oh crap" drops it down the drain "oh 🤬" a grain of sand can hide a mountain (if in your eyes) or scratch a surface. Marble mechanic.
Dunno man, feels like first world problems man. All those amazing coins, feels pretty amazing to have such a collection? Get a job there brother, perhaps you can raise the bar for all of us
🤔
Just goes to show you that grading companies are 💩 And grades mean Zilch
Great video. What scope are you using?
PCGS 1987-P ? … #6 Ink pen label says 1987-D …??
I remember reading that PCGS has some kind of sniffer machine that can read the chemical residue on the surface of the coin…so your taking a big risk with them! Save your money! Don’t do it!
I did it! I made a video of it ruclips.net/video/LwnBnXF-N7A/видео.htmlsi=wGMSusu725ekH4o4
To be continued (re-submitted)...
I am diehard to NGC. ANACS is best value
PCGS
👎🏻
Eye agree with u on cleaning or restoring Eye myself use tarnx silver cleaner Then use a little dish soap with warm water to remove all the tarnx It doesn’t remove the cartwheel or luster And really improves the eye appeal of the coin Give it a try
I have never liked coin grading services . Never .
Soak cotton ball, no wiping.
I wiped. PCGS certified 🤷🏼♂️
get over it is clean. anacs is now 4th tier grading service with the advent of Cacg. no young graders to complain about. top graders only. send your coins there and see your true grades.
I will only use ANACS. It is totally fine to preserve coins. Using a grading system to intice you to pay them for preservation is B.S.. Almost demanding you to use the service they provide.
This doesn't sound ethical at all and who really has the ability to just take out $150000? I mean....really
It’s a joke 😅 I realize most people can’t do that
If the grading services had any respect for their customers, they would offer to conserve coins with PVC residue for an extra fee instead of just stuffing them in a f*** you sleeve and sending them back.
😂😂😂 clean the coins
Cameo has to be head on, not at an angle. As to higher grades, my cynicism makes me believe there’s a PCGS bias on giving out the grades no matter the quality of the coin.🤷♂️
Some of those would be great candidates for Great Collections.
Accented hair is very easy to spot. The left, lower serif on the I in Liberty is more of a dot. Actually, it’s estimated that AC is 30% of mintage so should be relatively easy to find.
Love the “I can’t find the flaw in this coin.” PCGS will find the flaws! Been there.☹️
Never use MS70 or EZest on circulated coins. These products predominantly work well only on uncirculated coins. If you see a blast white VF coin, that is an immediate tell to graders that it has been cleaned.
Anacs slabs look awful .. always scratched up.. as for damage. I just got a coin back.. It was one of the first minted.. pre - ordered .. and was perfect when I sent it.. come back 3-4 months later .. scratched in multiple areas... (NGC) didn't look like the coin I sent in ... but grading companies are never going to hold their hands up and admit to damage.. as they'd have to issue compensation... 🤬
Awesome ancient Coins 🎉🎉
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this…. AWESOME
Glad you enjoyed it!
Those are lovey and historically interesting coins. I particularly like the Greek Tetradrachm. A coin dealer in Australia sold a raw one earlier this month described as in “About EF” condition for AUD$1,950, so around US$1,290. It sold within a day or two of listing.
Dang! Yeah I was a bit surprised at the grade. It is a really nice coin. Well struck
After seeing yours I couldn't stand it any longer so I bought one, well actually I won it in an auction. I think it's a decent price. $745 . NGC graded 5/5 strike & 4/5 surface. I'm in the Greek game with you now 👍😁 I'm referring to the Tetradrachm.
Nice! Congrats 😁
Will you address ANACS on the broken coin? They should pay you for it no?
I have no way of knowing when it broke. So I have my suspicions but no proof. I’m sure they will deny
You’d think that if it was broken while trying to slab it, they’d slab both pieces together anyway. Hopefully they didn’t charge you, at least…
BI on the broken coin means its a very, very cheap mixture of metals with silver..but very little silver. The Tetradrachm in my opinion is absolutely stunning and the big winner ! I've been trying to buy one for a while, they're just too expensive for this country boy. Its a extremely desirable and sought after greek coin. Congratulations! Ancient coins are freaking confusing, I've been collecting them for only a few months. Also, AR on the Tetradrachm means Silver . AV is gold, BI is billon like pot metal (broken coin)
Cool! Thanks for the info! I really don’t know much about the ancients but they are cool. That Tetradrachm is definitely the winner. It’s the quality that makes it worth so much. That’s also why I was concerned if it was real or not.
Greetings. Good to know that ANACS does ancients. Nice coins. Like them a lot Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
I never knew ANACS did ancients. I've only seen NGC Ancients slabs. The owl is beautiful!
Thanks!
I would not blame anacs at all. Its not expensive coin 100 to maybe what you paid. Ive been collecting ancients foe a bit. Most likely the broken coin happened in transit because it was crystallized. Which happens depending on where the silver coin was originally found. It makes them superrr fragile. Ive had a couple that broke in the mail.
I don’t want to blame them but not knowing what really happened makes it hard not to question. I managed to bring it all the way back from London without it breaking 🤷🏼♂️
Yo Rock! Good morning
Mornin!
So cool
Nice coins
Wow, surprised you didn't send them to NGC... I've always heard they're the best for grading ancients! Plus they're grading scale is different for them too, which you probably already know!
Actually, ANACS is very popular w/ancients.
@@typeviic1 I've never actually seen ancients in an ANACS slab before, but then again I wasn't looking either!
I don’t have an account with NGC. So far I’m quite happy with ANACS
Someone whom cannot even tell a wide rim SBA,and submits at least 3 of them at the same time, or what a @ doubled die coin looks like, yeah You know more than PCGS ! Your credibility is Zero with me! Quit your crying and humble yourself! You are a crybaby , grow up and learn something! I wish you the best, but would have never watched your channel had I known your overinflated ego! GOD Bless!
Wide rims are almost touching the numbers in the date. Get a Yeoman’s Coin Book Red, almost all information on all US coins! The are “ Doubled Die” not “double die” & any “ Doubled Fie would be painfully obvious! Please look into the Yeoman’s Redbook the information is unbelievably invaluable including grading, doubled die, wide rim SBA’s and many other varieties! GOD Bless You & Yours Brother!
Rocky... do you never use NGC?
I have not yet
@@rockysramblings Curious as to why. I've found them to be accurate and easy to deal with. Even easier, since any NGC dealer in my town can drive over and pick up the coins when they're ready. Always nice to have a TPG locally, right?
I was gifted 30+ silver dollars... mostly Morgans and a few Peace... by my wonderful grandfather when I was just an infant. As I got into collecting in my 20s, I discovered all but one were common dates and circulated. I used silver polish bought in the grocery store to shine 'em up, including the one coin that was the exception--an 1895-S Morgan. I had a coin shop I had a relationship with send it into PCGS for grading. This was maybe 25 years ago, give or take a few. The two substances you used either didn't exist then or were unknown to me. I was gobsmacked when it came back an XF-45... no "cleaned", no details. So go figure, eh?
Nice! Well done 😁
Thanks for doing these videos. Everyone else just hints around about it or cuts out the part where they show you how to do it.
Thank you! I just wanted to give it a try and share the results 😁
64 Half is gorgeous , I’ve had similar issues with both PCGS and NGC , one example when my FH 1920 SLQ was upgraded from MS 63 FH to 64 but lost its FH designation, WTF? or their questionable color AKA questionable KNOWLEDGE!!
I do not trust photos on ebay to easy to "doctor up"
Trick you lmfao the serial numbers are right there.😂
I remember when David Hall started PCGS with the heavily advertised assurance that no cleaned coin would ever 'make their grade'.
